J.L. Holloway

Executive Chairman

Mr. Holloway, a self-made industrialist, began his dream over four decades ago when he founded HAM Marine, which later became Freide Goldman, employing over 2-thousand people worldwide. 2003 was a pivotal year for J. L. when he founded Tenax, LLC, a capital investment firm. Ever expanding, what is now Tenax Aerospace, LLC, has developed into a multi-million dollar aviation leasing company. Mr. Holloway is a leader, a teacher, and a dedicated professional who continually strives to guide his team by example.

Mr. Holloway’s commitment to success does not outshine his passion for philanthropy as he has touched many lives. The J. L. Holloway Business & Technology Center at Mississippi College School of Business was established in 2008. The J. L. Holloway MBA scholarship program was also created allowing students to further their education. A faculty development fund was launched to provide professors additional training.

Mr. Holloway has been named the Governor’s Citizen of the Year and to the Mississippi Business Hall of Fame. He and his wife Diane reside in Ridgeland.


Terry Ryan

Chief Executive Officer

Most recently, Terry Ryan was the CEO of VT Group from 2013 to 2015. Prior to VT Group, Terry held the position of President and Chief Operation Officer at ManTech International Corporation’s Emerging Markets Group. Before that, he held the position of Chairman and President of Mercury Federal Systems. From 2006 to 2009, Terry was Senior Vice President, Strategic Development, SAIC, where he was responsible for overseeing strategy development and mergers and acquisitions for the SAIC Intelligence, Security and Technology Group. Prior to SAIC, he served as Vice President and Director for SRA International’s C4ISR Center, where he directed Intelligence Community-related programs and contracts. During his tenure, he was appointed to the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board’s Transformation Advisory Group, and to the CIA Director’s Constellation Architecture Panel. Prior to that, Terry served as President, CEO, and Director of Adroit Systems, Inc., where he initiated a strategic growth campaign that resulted in a successful sale of the business to SRA International in 2003.

Terry has more than 20 years of experience with the U.S. Government. He held pivotal senior executive positions as the OSD Director of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; and as the Deputy Director of the Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office. He also served as a Professional Staff Member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Terry’s 10-year military term included a position as senior intelligence analyst for the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence, and infantry commander and intelligence officer for the U.S. Marine Corps.


Tim Cantrell

Chief Financial Officer

Tim has over 30 years of financial management experience and expertise. Throughout his career, Tim has earned the reputation as a trusted business advisor to organizations in a wide range of industries. More recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer for a publicly traded Mississippi based manufacturing concern.

Tim joined the Tenax management team as Chief Financial Officer in January 2014. Tim will assist in the development of the strategic direction of the Company and work to ensure that the organization efficiently deploys capital to develop world class solutions for our customers and other stakeholders.

Tim, a graduate of the University of Mississippi, is a Certified Public Accountant. Throughout his career he has served on the Board of Directors of numerous non-profit organizations in the mid-South area. Outside Tenax, Tim enjoys golf and spending time with his family at Ole Miss sporting events.


Jason Dean, Ph.D.

VP of Program Development

Jason Dean’s professional track has enabled him to participate in the highest levels of government while also working in the private sector to support economic development growth and opportunities for the aerospace and other targeted growth sector industries.

His previous work includes serving as a White House Fellow and on the staff of Governor Haley Barbour. In these roles and subsequent experience in economic development activity at the national and international level, Jason developed a skillset focused on nurturing a diverse client base and successfully closing on new business opportunities.


Gary Gooris

VP of Operations & Maintenance

With over three decades in the aviation industry, Gary has accumulated an in-depth and diverse knowledge of aircraft operations, maintenance, and logistical support within DOD, civil, and public sectors.  Throughout his career Gary has succeeded in complex roles of responsibility as an Aviation Program Manager, Proposal Development Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, and Maintenance Manager.  His expertise in project scheduling, managing budgets, quality, safety and aircraft system troubleshooting is a benefit to Tenax and our customers.

As the Tenax Aerospace Vice President of Operations and Maintenance, Gary’s responsibilities include operations and maintenance management for the Tenax fleet of fixed-wing aircraft. This includes, among other tasks, tracking aircraft time and related components, identifying satisfactory maintenance solutions, and developing cost-conscious subcontract agreements with repair vendors and logistic support providers.


Steve Narbo

VP of Program Management

Steve has over 25 years of operational, fiscal and contractual experience in defense contracting and aerospace logistics. Before joining Tenax Aerospace, Steve held management and leadership roles of increasing responsibility within the United States Department of Defense, Raytheon, Vertex Aerospace and L-3 Communications.   He is a detail oriented leader that focuses on solving problems, serving the customer and making sure the job is performed correctly.

His broad range of experience in multiple career fields (operations, auditing and contract management) allows for effective and successful management of program excellence and customer support for Tenax Aerospace.  Previous operational experience includes responsibility of cost, schedule and quality for over 20 domestic and international aerospace logistics programs with annual sales exceeding $500 million dollars.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mississippi College, is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Federal Contract Manager.  Outside of Tenax, Steve serves in various leadership roles within his church, enjoys golf and spending time with his wife Stacey and their two children.
